What you pay and what you keep
Claude Code sits on a Claude subscription or API bill. The model is excellent. The cage is the vendor. navin-cli install is $0. Bring OpenRouter, a local model, or a Navin plan. The repo stays on disk.
Teams that already bought Claude can still point Navin at Anthropic via BYOK. You do not throw the model away. You stop renting the whole AGI.
Terminal that is a product, not a prompt
navin-cli opens a framed composer: ctrl+t changes mode (agent, ask, plan, review, security, debug). ctrl+s resumes any session. The panel shows provider, model, git branch and workspace. That is a control board, not a raw REPL.
Claude Code is lighter if you only want the Anthropic loop. Navin is heavier if you want settings, skills, MCP and the desktop on the same config.
When the mission leaves the terminal
